WGAW and PGA are partners with the Community Wildfire Relief Recreation Fund

The Writers Guild of America West and the Producers Guild of America have partnered with the Community Entertainment Fund to provide relief to members impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.

The WGAW and PGA are the latest Hollywood organizations to pledge additional financial aid for wildfire relief, following in the footsteps of SAG-AFTRA. The actors guild pledged $1 million to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation over the weekend.

They join other entertainment companies that have pledged financial aid, including the Motion Picture Television Fund, the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, the Annenberg Foundation, the Wasserman Foundation and many others.

The three guilds also postponed nominations announcements for their respective awards shows indefinitely after the fires broke out on 7 January. The remainder of this year’s awards season remains uncertain with most organizations shifting their focus to bushfire relief efforts for now.
