UAE News Report: Expo 2020 Dubai visitor numbers continue to rise, reaching 10,188,769 visits as of 18 January, with visitors attracted by the first Global Goals Week to be held outside New York and a star-studded K-pop concert – all supported by confidence in the event’s strict safety measures.
The Thematic Weeks at Expo 2020 Dubai are hugely popular thanks to a range of engaging forums, panel discussions and exciting on-site activities. Global Goals Week is spearheaded by a major call to action, and runs from January 15 to 22, in collaboration with the United Nations, to advance the Sustainable Development Goals. The goals recognize that eliminating poverty and other forms of deprivation must go hand in hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality and stimulate economic growth, while tackling climate change and working to conserve oceans and forests. The distinguished line-up of international entertainment and music artists continues to be a big draw, with thousands braving a humid Sunday to watch a stunning K-pop performance in the Republic of Korea featuring PSY, Stray Kids, Sunmi, (G)I-dle, Golden Child and Forestella live on Jubilee Theater. Expo 2020 Dubai has already welcomed the likes of Alicia Keys, Nancy Ajram and Amr Diab, and the Black Eyed Peas are set to be added to the list of celebrities when they perform at Al Wasl Square on January 25.
