Some films are made with a big budget and huge expectations. While some become successful, others flop terribly. Some films fail miserably despite having promising actors in them. One of these Hollywood movies was made during the 1990s. The budget, expectations and anticipation were fantastic. Unfortunately, the results were not as good as expected.

The biggest failed movie in the world

The Hollywood movie we’re talking about was produced on a budget of $160 million. It was released in 1999 with the title The 13th Warrior. Although the action film was a huge hit in Hollywood, it was a disaster at the box office. It barely even earned $60 million at the box office. The film has been referred to as “the world’s biggest flop”.

Warrior XIII is led by John McTiernan and stars Filo, Vladimir Kulić, Antonio Banderas, Dennis Storhowy, Omar Sharif, and Richard Bremer. The film is an adaptation of Michael Crichton’s novel Eaters of the Dead, which was loosely based on the story of Beowulf, coming from Ahmed ibn Fadlan’s historical novels about the Volga Vikings. The screenplay was written by William Wisher Jr. and Warren Lewis.

The film received negative reviews and even the audience did not like it. Omar Sharif was so frustrated with the film’s terrible performance that he took a short break from acting until 2003. During the screening of Mr. Ibrahim, Omar said: “After my small role in The Thirteenth Warrior with Antonio Banderas, I said to myself: ‘Let’s stop this. Bullshit, the meal tickets we pay for because they pay well unless I find a great movie I love that makes me want to leave the house for it Do, I’ll stop. Bad visuals are so insulting, I was really sick, it’s terrifying to have to do dialogue from bad scripts, to be faced with a director who doesn’t know what he’s doing in a movie that’s so bad it’s not even worth exploring.
