The United States team went to Moscow to the Ukraine talks, while Putin is visiting Korsk

US officials are heading to Russia to discuss a potential ceasefire in Ukraine, according to President Donald Trump.
The news comes after Ukrainian officials agreed to a 30 -day ceasefire after a very expected meeting with US officials in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Marco Rubio said, “The ball is really in [Russia’s] The court “and that the United States believes that the only way to end the fighting is through peace negotiations.
The Kremlin said he was studying the ceasefire proposal, and that a phone call between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin is possible.
In the aftermath of the meeting in Jeddah on Tuesday, Ukrainian President Voluderrem Zelinski said that it is now up to the United States to persuade Russia to agree to the “positive” proposal.
Speaking alongside Taoiseach in Ireland – or Prime Minister – Micheál Martin at the Oval Office on Wednesday, Trump said he had received “positive messages” about the possibility of a ceasefire.
“But a positive message does not mean anything,” he said. “This is a very dangerous situation.”
Trump did not specify the officials who were traveling to Moscow.
However, press secretary Caroline Levit told the White House correspondents that National Security Minister Mike Waltz had spoken to his Russian counterpart.
Earlier this week, a familiar source told the BBC that the Middle East Envoy Steve Witkev will go to Moscow for negotiations in the wake of the talks in Jeddah.
The White House confirmed the plans on Wednesday.
“We urge the Russians to sign this plan. This is the closest to which we were peace in this war.”
The Kremlin said he was studying the proposed shooting and more details, which Dmitry Peskov spokesman “via different channels” said over the next few days.
In the Oval Office, Trump said he believed the ceasefire would be logical to Russia, adding – without further details – that there is a “negative aspect of Russia” as well.
“We have a very complex situation that has been solved on one side. We have come to a large extent. We also discussed the land and other things that it is going on,” Trump added. “We know the areas of the earth that we are talking about, whether they are retreating or not retreating.”
To pressure Russia, Trump said he “could do things financially.”
“This will be very bad for Russia,” he said. “I don’t want to do it because I want to get peace.”
The meeting in Jeddah was the first between us and the Ukrainian officials since a meeting on February 28 between Zelinski, Trump and Vice President JD Vance to the screaming match, and in the end he stopped in American military assistance and intelligence participation.
A temporary pause was raised after the meeting in Jeddah, and Trump said he believed that the “difficult” Ukrainian side and Zelinski now want peace.
Although negotiations on potential ceasefire are continuing, fighting has erupted in Ukraine.
According to Russian drones and targets in Kryvyy Rih – Zelinski’s birthplace – overnight, as well as in the city of Odessa, Dniproptrovsk and Kharkiv.
The clashes also continued in the Russian region of Kursk, where Peskov said that the Russian forces were “successfully” and restored the areas held by the Ukrainian forces.
Later on Wednesday, the Kremlin said President Putin visited a leadership position in the region. He was shown in footage released by the Kremlin walking alongside his military commander Valerie Gerasimov, as both men were wearing combat equipment.
The first visit to the Russian president to the region since the incursion of Ukraine across the border in August last year.
Russian media reported that President Putin ordered the army to “liberate the entire area” during the visit. It has not yet commented on the suggestion of the ceasefire, which was approved by Ukraine and the United States on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the head of military military personnel in Ukraine indicated that some of its forces were withdrawn from Kursk. In a post on the Telegram messaging application, he said: “In the most difficult situation, my priority was and still saves the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.”
