Pertsev is one of the Tornado Cash developers, the popular currency mixing service approved by the US Treasury in 2022.
In August 2022, the Dutch authorities arrested Persif, accusing him of the help of Cash users from the hurricane to hide the returns of their criminal activities.
In May, the Oost Babt court in the Netherlands sentenced Persif to five years in prison for more than two billion dollars in washing.
The developer began an appeal and asked the court to grant him on bail. This week’s development will be allowed to challenge his conviction without the restrictions of imprisonment.
