The legendary knight Frankie Ditoori applied for bankruptcy.
The beloved horse race icon issued a statement after losing a long and expensive battle on taxes.
Dettori – who received more than 3,300 wins his name and made millions of race game – says the issues arose after he rented a specialized advisor to deal with his financial issues.

It may be estimated that it is a pocket of the race alone somewhere between 15 to 20 million pounds (31-41 million US dollars).
“Over the past six months, a consultant has been working with HMRC (the revenues and customs of His Majesty) in an attempt to find a solution to the two financial fqas.”
Unfortunately, I will make bankruptcy.
“I feel sad and embarrassed than this result and I will advise others to take stronger on financial matters.
“The bankruptcy is a big decision and its consequences will affect many years.
“I feel comfortable to draw a line on this long -term issue, which enables me to reset and focus on my international riding career.”
The 54 -year -old was to retire at the end of 2023, but he reflected his decision after enjoying a successful farewell season, as the winners in Guinea 2000 and the gold cup in Ascot.
