“The Maldives will be a good test”: Indian defender Rahul Beck before the clash

The Indian soccer team defender Rahul Bheke expects a Litmus test while the blue tigers are preparing to face the Maldives in a friendly match before the Asian Cup match in the third round of Bangladesh, according to the official ISL website. The Indian pursuit of the Asian 2027 Asian Cup will begin against the neighbors Bangladesh, where he will face the two sides in the qualifying match in the third round. Blue tigers will face the Maldives in a friendly one time before that, as the hosts target his first victory in the era of Manolo Marquise. Since he took these charges as a major coach for the national team, the Spaniard has not been able to win with the national team, as India draws three times and suffers from one defeat in the last four games.
The Blue Tigers will play a preparatory game against the Maldives at the Jawaher Nehru Stadium in Chilung on Wednesday. Marquis’s side underwent two attractive training session before the Maldives match to return to the sidewalk of Bangladesh.
Bheke acknowledged that both the Maldives and Bangladesh have a similar playing style, which can help them get everything before the very expected qualified match is set. The defender stated that their training sessions were at the level of the brand and that the team was pumped to meet the next challenge.
“We started a good start to the camp, with two strong training sessions. We had two other days before our friendly, and this is great for the twenty -fifth match (against Bangladesh). I think the Maldives will be a good test because it is a similar type on the side of what Bangladesh will be.”
Veteran defender faced the Maldives and Bangladesh in the Saff in 2021. After appearing in the International Circle for a long time, Bheke saw that the blue tigers should benefit from the advantage of their home in the upcoming matches to express a progressive start in the Asian Asian Cup.
“I played against both teams before, but a few years have passed since we met them last time. I have seen their clips from the last matches. They are good teams aimed at qualifying for the Asian Cup. So, we need to do our best.
International football is scheduled to return in Shillong, and therefore excitement and emotion rises among football fans in Megagaya. The Jawaharal Nehru stadium, which also occupies a home place to return to the Northeast United team in the Indian League in the Indian League (ISL), hosted several league matches in the final stage.
The Bangaluru FC Becky defender, who suffered from Shelung’s weather several times during his playing career, urged local supporters to come out with the numbers and chant the national team.
“I played in Shillong before, during the league I, and I recently came here with Bengaluru FC to play against Northeast United FC. The weather was really cold the last time, but it is now fun for football. Everyone has enjoyed training on the field here. We know that the weather will be good and that support will be loudly.”
“We faced that during ISL. The stadium was crowded. We hope that the same number of people, if not more, are present during India’s matches,” the defender continued.
Sunil Tcharic’s decision to get out of retirement has been a major discussion point since the announcement of the Blue Tigers Games team against the Maldives and Bangladesh. Bheke believed that the insertion of the former captain will be pivotal for the team, given its last shape in scoring goals in ISL and could enhance the team’s morale with the features of his leadership inside and outside the stadium.
“I didn’t really know that he would return to the national team. We told us his decision during BFC training, on the same day his return was announced. I think it is great for the team because at the present time, he is the top scorer of the leading Indian in the league.”
Bheke concluded that “it will be a good addition to the team. We all know what he can offer, not only on the field but also outside the field with his leadership.”
