“Jerome is a award -winning journalist, and the courageous frontal reports of Ukraine have been constantly revealed about the crimes of Russian war.

“This procedure by a dormant Russian court is a flagrant attempt to make it silent and suppress the free press from reporting the horrific facts of the war.

“Jerome’s commitment to press integrity is unparalleled. He has combined himself with the Ukrainian army, as the readers were provided with eyewitnesses and strong reports based on facts that convey the real horror of the conflict.

“This arrest warrant comes after Jerome became the first journalist in the United Kingdom to present a report from occupied Russia since William Howard has covered the Crimea in 1856.

“It emphasizes the vital importance of free pressure in the accountability of authoritarian and criminal systems.”

Jerome Starki: Russia is trying to intimidate me and other journalists

Starki himself said: “It is good to feel the desire-but the Russian courts have a form of imprisonment for people on an expected charge, as happened to my colleague Ivan Geshvich.

“This is clear that this is an attempt to close anyone who criticizes the Russian invasion of Ukraine – which will not work.

“They are trying to intimidate me and other journalists who cover this brutal war.

“But it is very important for journalists to shed light on the terrible invasion of Vladimir Putin for Ukraine. The sun will continue to do so.

“Our work to report the illegal action of Putin and the suffering that has accumulated on the people of Ukraine.

“I would like to suggest that Vladimir Putin and his regime have bigger things that worry about the work of British journalists who say the truth about this war.”
