I was blogging about my meals in the early days of blogging.
I haven’t done that for many years.
Specifically, Captain Bird’s walleye fish fingers.
I will buy the large pack of 30 sticks when they are marked down.
I recently purchased a 2 pack as they were under $17 a pack at NTUC Fairprice.
I’ve shared pictures of how to eat fish fingers in the community tab of my YouTube channel before and thought I’d share some pictures here on my blog this time.
Most people fry fish fingers but I bake them.
I like to put them in a glass dish and put them in the microwave at 800 watts for 3 to 4 minutes.
I then infuse it with extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar.
This is followed by ground cumin seed powder, ginger, black pepper and turmeric.
These have various health benefits, especially for the elderly.
This is what it looks like:
After eating fish fingers, instead of washing the glass plate right away, I would crack an egg and mash it on the plate.
This doesn’t mean wasting leftover EVOO and the rest of the good stuff.
Microwave at 450 watts for 90 seconds and voila:
I usually enjoy some baked almonds with 80% to 90% dark chocolate as dessert.
It might also be an apple or an orange.
This is one meal.
I’m enjoying my retirement, and keeping things simple makes it more enjoyable, especially when I’m able to buy my favorite foods when they’re low.
If the AKP can do it, so can you!
