Spencer Pratt defends Mandy Moore over GoFundMe backlash to Los Angeles wildfires
Don’t mess with Mandy Moore.
Spencer Pratt is calling out online trolls for criticizing the “This Is Us” star after she politely asked fans to donate to her GoFundMe. The fundraiser was created to help her in-laws, who tragically lost their home in the Los Angeles wildfires.
“If I see another TikTok about Mandy Moore and GoFundMes, I’m going to start stalking you guys,” Pratt, 41, said. In a TikTok video Posted over the weekend.
“Would you like to have your worst nightmare, which is me right now? I posted about Mandy Moore. I’ll ride for Mandy Moore.”
The Hills graduate — who shared last week that he and his wife, Heidi Montague, were among thousands of residents who lost their homes in the fire — recalled Moore’s earlier kindness.
“Let me tell you about Mandy Moore. Mandy Moore, when I was younger, she used to scream Mandy Moore. She booked me the hotel because she was a nice friend. “Just as a friend, she booked my hotel in New York – I had never been to New York before. I feel like she even booked my trip because I had so much fun being around her. Mandy Moore, I’ll ride for Mandy Moore.
Pratt called the actress “the most beautiful lady ever” and said she “doesn’t do anything wrong.”
“If you were nice in 2004, you’ll still be nice in 2025. It’s like I’m being too nice. So, don’t you dare come up to Mandy Moore,” he said.
He also encouraged those who roasted Moore on social media to “delete.” [their] Content” because Moore is “a real person.”
“She’s a great human being. She doesn’t do anything out of pocket — she posts GoFundMes, it’s great. “She doesn’t have to pay anyone’s price. She has her own life, and probably her own kids, so don’t come for Mandy Moore.
The “A Walk to Remember” star, who has three children with husband Taylor Goldsmith, shared that her in-laws Griff and Kate Goldsmith lost “everything they owned in the Eaton fire” in a since-deleted post on January 9 alongside a screenshot of the fundraising page .
“With their first child due to arrive in a matter of weeks, they need our support now more than ever,” she wrote. “Many have asked how they can help during this unimaginably difficult time… Please consider making a donation and getting involved to help them rebuild.”
Moore was immediately called out for asking fans to donate to her family despite being a wealthy celebrity.
The “Princess Diaries” star, 40, responded to haters and confirmed her decision with a GoFundMe post.
“People ask if we’re helping our family or attributing an arbitrary amount of money to someone that Google says isn’t helpful or compassionate. Of course we are,” Moore later edited the caption of her post to say.
“We lost most of our lives in a fire too. Please F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything.”
Moore shared that her home in Altadena sustained minor damage due to the Eaton Fire.
“Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now. It’s not livable but it’s mostly intact.” Annotate a slideshow of photos It shows some damaged homes in her neighborhood.
Their garage and back house — as well as Griff’s studio “with every instrument and piece of equipment they’ve ever owned” — were destroyed in the fire, Moore said.

“A strange feeling of survivor’s guilt,” she continued. “We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support. Thank you everyone for checking in on us and helping us. Altadena is strong.”
Several other celebrities lost their homes in the catastrophic fires that broke out on January 7, including Moore’s former star Milo Ventimiglia, as well as Paris Hilton and Miles Teller.
