Sebastian Maniscalco collapses.
The 51-year-old comedian admits his body isn’t what it used to be, although he still pantomimes like a millennial.
The “Bookie” star visited Denver’s Ball Arena on Sunday with his “Not True” Tour. He shared his physical decline in a warm, witty style that lacked anything resembling a dead spot. The comedian’s latest Netflix special, “Is This Me?” I found the funny man losing some of his charm in every man.
The jokes weren’t as sharp and his marital friction seemed less relatable. Fame can be brutal for observational comics.
Don’t you hate it when service is sub-par in first class?

Maniscalco’s latest collection finds him rediscovering his shared touch. He’s been thinking about fatherhood, marriage, dating, and more, and gotten a little personal along the way.
He only missed a few parts, and his only mistakes came with stories that lacked a tidy ending.
He opened his talk by describing his short trip from Los Angeles during the raging wildfires. Sensitive material, no doubt, but he kept his sense of humor trained on his eccentricities.
tasty.
The comedian framed the extra hour routine as a look into the year 2024. This gave him all the narrative ropes needed to navigate through the culture. He mentioned everything from a talented Olympic pole vaulter to “Love Is Blind.” Each part showed its distinctive physical movements.
No, he’s not getting old. Not even close.
He touched on generational change (“Do you remember writing?”) and how today’s youth lack the determination of their predecessors. He mixed in some crowd work as well, but stuck to his script most of the night.
Maniscalco may look fit, but he says his belly button moved on its own and he tore his bicep and, well, he’s still not sure why. His new bedtime ritual is humiliating, cutting off any intimate time he might want with his wife, Lana.
Funny stuff, with enough detail to separate the material from thousands of other hot couple shots.
The night avoided politics, which is usual in comedy. He name-checked Elon Musk, praising him for his accomplishments and mental toughness.
And for those who boo billionaires, he had a simple message.
“He didn’t take it [the money] “From you.”
Two powerful openings made the night brighter. Pat McGann delivered a quick set piece about fatherhood, delivering subtle gags relatable to today’s teens and cultural change. Pete Correale, Maniscalco’s partner on “The Pete and Sebastian Show,” delved into the topic of marriage in a very funny opening set.
One complaint?
The night was supposed to end with the couple together on stage for fans of “The Cast.” Maybe next time.
