Los Angeles’ conglomerate fires are a favorite of Santa Ana vents, where the meteorological phenomenon aims to bind hills to the point of flammability.
These fortresses remain when cold air builds up in Nevada and Utah, through California. The measure by which this mass of air moves westward causes the mountains of California to lower, as they fill and acclimate.

When an anticyclone forms in the California desert, air flows toward the Pacific coast.
