Robert Lewandowski scored a penalty kick as Barcelona won a 1-0 victory over Rayo Valekano on Monday to climb the Spanish Lega summit. Lewandowski scored his twentieth goal for this season with a penalty in the 28th minute that came out of this position.
Rayo Pep Chawaria goalkeeper foiled Barcelona repeatedly.
At the other end, Jorge de Frotos had been hunger and missed an additional time.
“It was the hard work of the players and in the end we are happy,” said Barcelona coach Hansi Felk. “Everyone is happy with our new position. I think we have played very well, although I think we can do better.”
Barcelona remained defeated in 12 games in 2025, while ending the range that did not defeat 10 games, which raised Rayo to the surprising sixth place.
