Vice President Vance, Speaker Johnson, Senator Thune, Chief Justice Roberts, the Justices of the United States Supreme Court, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, President Biden, Vice President Harris, and my fellow citizens:

America’s golden age begins now. From this day forward, our country will once again prosper and be respected throughout the world. We will be the envy of every nation. We will not allow ourselves to be exploited anymore.

During every day of the Trump administration, I will simply put America first. Our sovereignty will be restored. Our safety will be restored. The scales of justice will be rebalanced. The evil, violent, and unjust weaponization of the Department of Justice and our government will end. Our top priority will be creating a proud, prosperous and free nation.

America will soon be greater, stronger, and more exceptional than ever before. I return to the presidency confident and optimistic that we are at the beginning of an exciting new era of national success. The wave of change is sweeping the country. Sunlight is pouring over the entire world, and America has the opportunity to seize this opportunity like never before.

But first, we must be honest about the challenges we face. Despite their number, they will be exterminated because of this great momentum that the world and the United States of America are witnessing now. As we meet today, our government faces a crisis of confidence. For many years, the extremist and corrupt establishment has taken power and wealth from our citizens. While the foundations of our society were apparently broken and in tatters, we now have a government unable to manage even a minor crisis at home while simultaneously stumbling through a continuing list of disastrous events abroad.

It fails to protect our wonderful, law-abiding American citizens, but it provides refuge and protection for dangerous criminals, many from prisons and mental institutions who have entered our country illegally from around the world. We have a government that has provided unlimited funding to defend foreign borders but refuses to defend America’s borders, or more importantly, its people.
