In the lawsuit, Justin claimed that Blake tried to control the film before, during and after production. He referred to an incident in which he asked to rewrite a pivotal scene in the film.
His suit read: “Early in pre-production, [Blake] sender [Justin] A long script describing how directors never let her write scenes for the films she acted in or gave her writing credits, even making her hand-scribble her suggestions for lines so they couldn’t be traced back to her.

We have such an opportunity to surprise people who not only love the book but reach a larger audience by producing a film that is undeniably dynamic and also commercial.
“We are in this together,” she continued. We are two of this [sic] Designer people I know. We also have very high standards for ourselves. Collaborating with this kind of partner is a gift that none of us will waste. Because we both care a lot about the result as well as the experience.”
“I have no motivation other than to win,” Blake continued. “As a director. As an actor. As a studio. As a writer. If I win, I win.”
