Putin’s ally on the edge of the abyss, while the elites are preparing to resist the Russian annexation: “The regime is collapsing” | World news

The Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko has been warned that his regime is “collapsing” and that the opposition of the Russian conscience is increasing between its political elite and the country as a whole.

Opinion polls confirmed on Sunday that the Belarusian President received a seventh state period in power, with 87.6 % of the vote.

However, the elections were rejected as “false” and as not “free or fair” by Western governments and opposition groups.

Although four of the “opposition candidates” appeared in the poll, they were all loyal to Lucchenko, who led Belarus for more than 30 years.

Svetlana Tikhunovskaya heads a Belarusian opposition government in exile, and continues to struggle to liberate her country from tyranny.

It is widely believed to have won the 2020 presidential elections in Belarus, but she was forced to flee after the Lukashenko suppression campaign after falsifying the vote.

The opposition leader told Express.co.uk that democratic change is still possible in Belarus.

She said, “I see people not surrender despite all the repression and fear inside.”

“We are continuing the struggle. Changes in Belarus can come faster than changes in Russia because our society is more coherent and more supportive of Europe.”

Many have been said about the creeping Russian colonialism of Belarus, as the two countries have established military and economic relations deeper than ever.

Analysts from the American War Studies Institute wrote, in a recent report, that the Kremlin was in the final stage of “a strategic effort that lasted for decades to include Belarus by virtue of the fait accompli.”

Tikhanovskaya has insisted that Russia will never succeed in including Belarus, adding that any attempt to do this will only undermine Lukashenko’s grip on power.

She said: “It is impossible for the Russian imperial machine to swallow a nation that works to enhance its national identity, which is now very devoted to culture, history and the Belarusian language.

“If Lukashenko joins paper to Russia or will make our country attached to Russia, the resistance against Russia will increase.”

She added, “Believe me, about Lukashenko, there are many politicians who want to save Belarus.

“They want to save the country, as you know, and at a moment of opportunity, all of these people will be next to us.

“We have already received a lot of sensitive information from the system. There is absolute lack of confidence in the system. The system is collapsing.”

Tikhanovskaya hopes that Donald Trump will support their cause and plan to build bridges with the new administration.

She said that the best way to attract the attention of the new American president is to emphasize the security repercussions to allow Lucinco to stay in power.

She explained that “one of the main messages of President Trump was the endowment of the aggressors and tyranny.”

We, the people of Belarus and the Ukrainians, fight this tyranny.

“So, look at Belarus, not only as a country in which we should help build democracy, but as a country of strategic importance and without it there will be no peace and security in the entire region.”
