Poll: Should Zelenksy resign to stop the war of Ukraine Russia World news

Speculation is rising about whether Volodymyr Zelensky can resign as part of a deal around the future of Ukraine.

The president defended that he is still in office after Donald Trump called him a “dictator” to not call the elections. But Ukraine’s constitutions prohibit a survey in wartime.

On Sunday, the Republican spokesman for the US House of Representatives suggested that Zelinski leave his position to Ukraine to achieve a peace agreement with Russia.

Yesterday, Zelensky announced that it will resign with one condition – that it is “exchangeable” for Ukrainian membership in NATO. The besieged leader added that this means that he has achieved his “mission.”

World leaders met in London on Sunday to discuss a possible agreement to present it to the United States on peace in Ukraine.

This came after a burning year between Trump and Zelinski at the Oval Office on Friday.

The US President told his counterpart that he was “a gambling with World War III” and that he “does not have cards.”

Zelensky left early, and the signing of a metal deal between the two countries was postponed.

Trump told him that they could meet again when he was “ready for peace.”

Yesterday, the Ukrainian president told reporters that he was “ready to sign” on the agreement.

It is understood that the United Kingdom and France aim to present a plan to the United States after yesterday’s summit.

Today, the UK Ambassador to the American Lord Mandalson was slapped by a defense minister indicating that Ukraine must commit to a ceasefire against Russia.

Lord Mandson suggested “a very radical reset.”

He said: “Re -appointment must be made up of the United States and Ukraine back to the same page, as President Zelinski provided his unparalleled support for the initiative that President Trump takes to end the war and bring a fair and permanent peace to Ukraine.

“The Europeans also need to support calls for a ceasefire, and by the way – I think Ukraine should be the first to commit to shooting and challenge the Russians.”

But the Minister of Armed Forces Luke Pollard told Sky News: “No. It is certainly correct that the Ukrainians want peace. I think about all people on our continent who want peace, and the Ukrainians want this more.

“But we are still in discussions and diplomatic communication with our European friends, the United States and Ukrainian regarding the form of this deal.

“But it is certain that the war may stop tomorrow if President Putin stops his illegal and unjustified aggression. He can stop this war.”

When asked if Lord Mandson was mistakes, he said: “This is not a government policy.”
