Nick Saban, Michael Vick and Urban Meyer top the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame list
College Football Hall of Fame Announce Members of the Class of 2025 on Wednesday, marking the start of a new roster of college football legends. This year’s class includes 18 players and four coaches, with a number of prominent names.
The class is led by two championship coaches, Nick Saban and Urban Meyer. Saban, who finished his career at Alabama in 2023, is a seven-time national champion and earned six of those rings with the Crimson Tide, earning the honor just one year after retiring from the sidelines. (Saban learned he was elected to the Hall of Fame during a “College GameDay” appearance on Friday.) Meyer led his teams to the national championship three times, twice with Florida and once with Ohio State; He retired from coaching college football in 2018.
Notable names from the player class include former Virginia Tech quarterback Michael Vick, an All-American who went on to become a four-time All-Pro in the NFL, and Texas Southern defensive tackle Michael Strahan, who went on to have a legendary career. A stint with the New York Giants and a career in broadcasting.
The final roster was selected from 77 players and nine coaches from the FBS division, and 101 players and 34 coaches from other divisions. The Class of 2025 will be officially inducted at a ceremony on December 9 in Las Vegas; The honorees will also be honored at ceremonies held at their colleges throughout the fall semester.
