NFL Playoff Bracket 2025: Updated postseason picture, divisional round scenarios | News, scores, highlights, stats, and rumors

There has been no more electric rookie this season than Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels. Earning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors proved to be an instant change of fortune for the Commanders, who followed a four-game winning streak last season with 12 wins and the franchise’s first playoff win since 2005-06.
Daniels helped regain the leaders’ trust, but do they have enough to topple the mighty Lions? Detroit has obliterated almost everyone this season, compiling a 15-2 record and the league’s leading goal differential (by a mile) plus 222 goals scored. The Lions were also well rested after earning a bye, but rust shouldn’t be a concern considering they need a win in Week 18 to secure the top seed.
This may be the undercard on Sunday’s slate, but it still holds instant classic potential. The Eagles can present all kinds of problems for opposing defenses with their turbo-charged rushing attack led by running back Saquon Barkley and quarterback Jalen Hurts. However, the Rams’ aerial attack may be difficult to handle when Matthew Stafford is throwing to Puka Nakoa and Cooper Kupp.
The Eagles were easily the better team this season — 14 wins and minus 160 points compared to 10 and minus 19, respectively — and it looked special when these teams met in Week 12, winning that contest 37-20. However, Los Angeles is 6-1 since that game with wins over Buffalo and Minnesota and the only loss coming in Week 18, when the Rams elected to rest their starters.
