The 2025 BAFTA Film Awards nominations have arrived, and the Vatican drama is on Netflix concavedirected by Edward Berger, tops the list with 12 nods, followed by a nod for broadcaster Emilia Perez With 11.
But it was a different name topping the list of most nominated studios/distributors presented by BAFTA on Wednesday: Universal Pictures and Focus Features, which scored nominations for the likes of Brady Corbett. BrutalJin M. Chu evilSean Baker AnuraAnd Robert Eggers Nosferatu.
Small companies and start-ups also feature in the list of companies whose films are in competition for a BAFTA award.
“It’s a really exciting and exciting year,” said Anna Higgs, chair of BAFTA’s film committee. THR. “It’s a great field of players – the big studios, the streamers, but also the independent players.”
