My mother has cancer and I am very worried about what I should do when she dies

Dear Dedry: My mother is dying and I am very worried about what I should do when you die.

I am the only son of a single mother, without family support, so everything will be on me. I feel anxious and exhausted.

My mom is 49 years old and has cancer in its last stages. I am 19.

It has a funeral plan but I have no idea about all the other practical things that I will do when the time comes.

Who do I say? Who do you call? What are the papers I need to fill?

I am a student and none of my friends had to deal with anything like this, so they cannot help – or understand.

I cannot talk to her in this regard, she has enough anxiety.

Dedry says: This is a heavy burden on your small shoulders.

But there are people who can help you.

Fortunately, the government site (Gov.uk) He has a “tell us once” service, which means that you can fill all the necessary legal models at once.

For information about the process, call Citizens Advice (Citizensadvice.org.uk).
