Michael Moore will not condemn the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO

Turns out Luigi Mangione is a fan of Michael Moore.

Mangione is accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson In cold blood earlier this month. Mangione was in possession of a “statement” when police arrested him after receiving a tip at a McDonald’s restaurant in Pennsylvania.

The alleged killer raged against America’s health care system, and praised Moore for criticizing the for-profit system in his 2007 documentary “Sicko.”

now, Moore responds to a fan Who may spend the rest of his days behind bars.

The far-left filmmaker refused to condemn those angry against the American health care system in a lengthy op-ed on the subject. He wants more outrage, more outrage, and more media coverage of both.

He also danced around the one question he says he’s been asked repeatedly by various media outlets since the CEO’s death.

“Do you condemn Thompson’s murder?”

It’s the only thing missing from Moore’s pro-universal health care manifesto.

Moore displayed his pacifist beliefs early and often. He noted that there was no need for violence, just the elimination of our current health care system of the version approved in Canada, Cuba and elsewhere.

He also embraced death as a teaching moment and an opportunity to bring about comprehensive change in the country. Doesn’t he realize what that could inspire?

Do you oppose President-elect Donald Trump’s border wall initiative? Kill the CEO of a company preparing to make said wall a reality.

This is just one example.

Moore opposes violence. Allegedly. Was he angry against the violent BLM protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death? What about those who try to harm activist Riley Gaines, or worse, for protesting the invasion of trans women into women’s sports?

The loquacious Moore was certainly not forthcoming on either front, assuming he said anything at all about the violence in question.

Why doesn’t he condemn Thompson’s murder?

Moore was flirting with doing so but pumped the rhetorical brakes. It is considered:

Ummm. Was he convicted of murder? This is a strange question. In Fahrenheit 9/11, I condemned the killing of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis and the senseless killing of our American soldiers at the hands of our American government.

And it continues.

What’s missing?

“Of course I condemn the killing of Brian Thompson.”

Instead, we get this:

In my 35 years as a director, have I said or done anything to imply that I condone murder?

The question is important because some prominent far-left figures refuse to do so (Taylor Lorenz) or do it in an exaggerated way “But…” is prominent.

Yes, I condemn murder, which is why I condemn America’s broken, vile, greedy, bloodthirsty, immoral, immoral health care industry and every single one of the CEOs responsible for it and every politician who takes their money and exploits them. This keeps the system going instead of tearing it apart, tearing it up and throwing it away.

Does Moore condemn Thompson’s death?

Yes, of course I do.

Now, how hard is that? Why doesn’t he say that?
