Builders and performance specifications
Built before Overmarine CollectionThis Italian beauty features a composite hull and superstructure designed to deliver cutting-edge performance without sacrificing passenger comfort. Powered by twin MTU engines, the yacht reaches a top speed of 26 knots, while its cruising speed offers a range of around 300 nautical miles. In layman’s terms, it’s the perfect ride for smooth Mediterranean jumps when Max needs a break from the pit lane.
Accommodation and facilities
Step aboard and you’ll find enough space to host up to 10 guests in a full-beam master suite, a VIP cabin, and then additional guest cabins for your fabulous entourage. The main salon is flooded with natural light through expansive windows, and when the sun is at least shining, a sundeck beckons to the sprawling lounge areas. If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can head to the beach club at the stern of the ship for a quick swim.
This is a logical extension of Verstappen’s already extensive collection of high-performance toys, which includes a fleet of exotic cars and a private jet. However, there’s more than just showing off: the yacht is expected to be based in Monaco, giving Max, along with partner Kelly Piquet (who is expecting their first child together), the perfect escape between the ever-demanding Formula 1 paddock rides.
A haven for next season
The purchase comes amid renewed rumors about the team switching Verstappen, with former Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya speculating that a future move for Verstappen to Aston Martin is not out of the question, although both parties have ostensibly rejected the idea at the moment. A recent report claimed that Aston Martin was using Verstappen’s name to attract sponsors, but with Verstappen contracted to Red Bull until 2028, most consider the rumors somewhat premature.
However, the current world champion is believed to have ‘performance clauses’ in the aforementioned contract that would allow him to leave Red Bull if the car fails to match his driving standards. Montoya points out that by 2028, current Aston Martin drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll may no longer be on the grid, with Alonso eyeing potential retirement and Stroll pursuing off-track interests. If that happens, it could leave a key seat open just as Aston Martin’s partnership with Honda and Adrian Newey’s influence bears fruit.
Rumors aside, the timing of this purchase couldn’t be much better. As the 2025 Formula 1 season gets underway – starting with pre-season testing in Bahrain in February – Verstappen’s new sea escape is likely to become his favorite hideout when the track drama gets a little rowdy.
