Hilary Duff opened up her Los Angeles home to Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith after the couple and their three children had to evacuate their home due to the disastrous Eaton Fire.
Taylor’s younger brother, Griffin Goldsmith, whose home in Altadena, California, burned to the ground. She took to Instagram Sunday to reveal how the “Lizzie McGuire” star and her husband Matthew Koma generously helped in their time of need.
“Our dear friends @matthewkoma and @hilaryduff thought it would be wise to set up a fund for us to help move everything forward,” Griffin wrote.
“Not to mention, they’re currently housing my brother’s family. They’ve taken care of my entire family from the moment this started.”
“I will never be able to thank them enough. This is the kindest thing any human being can do for another. They are the most beautiful, selfless people we have ever known.
Last week, Duff and Koma, both 37, set up a GoFundMe for Griffin, 34, and his pregnant wife, Kate Goldsmith, when the fire destroyed their home.
Moore, 40, shared her in-laws’ fundraising link on Instagram, saying they needed support “now more than ever” given their baby’s due date was just weeks away.
“Many have asked how to help during this unimaginably difficult time…please consider donating and sharing to help them rebuild,” the “This Is Us” star posted.
However, the actress rubbed some of her fans the wrong way, with many people wondering why ‘millionaires’ were asking for donations to their family members.
“We lost most of our lives in a fire too. Please F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything,” Moore responded to critics.
Moore and Taylor moved in with Duff after their home in Altadena was severely damaged by the ongoing Eaton Fire that burned last Tuesday.

“It’s not livable but it’s mostly intact,” she added, explaining that her husband and brother-in-law’s music studio with all the instruments for their band, Dawes, is gone.
More than 100,000 residents were forced to evacuate after the Eaton and Palisades fires burned throughout the county.
Many celebrities have lost their homes, including Milo Ventimiglia and Paris Hilton Miles Teller.
