Mandy Moore’s emotional tribute to Los Angeles firefighters for their heroic act
American actress and singer Mandy Moore recently expressed her deep appreciation to the Los Angeles Fire Department after they came to her rescue during a difficult situation.
The 40-year-old star shared on social media about the damage her home sustained from the Eaton Fire, which is located about 30 miles from the Pacific Palisades Fire.
And on Saturday, she paid tribute to all the heroes who were doing their job to save lives by capturing a touching moment of them enjoying a well-deserved fast food break.
Sharing the post, Mandy wrote: “Gratitude doesn’t cut it. Hope these guys get a double run in the house!”
the midway The star recently shared her struggles with an overwhelming feeling of “survivor’s guilt.” Although her home was affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, it escaped total destruction, unlike many other homes.
She continued: “We were able to stand and walk down our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. Right now, it is unlivable but mostly intact.”
Mandy continued, “We lost Taylor and Griffin’s studio with every tool and piece of equipment they ever owned. We lost our garage and our back house. Everyone we knew lost everything. Every house on our street was gone.”
“My husband. My brother and sister-in-law – 6 weeks after welcoming their first child. Our best friends.”
Mandy added: “A strange feeling of survivor’s guilt. We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support.”
