Mandy Moore makes it clear that she will not tolerate online criticism regarding her efforts to highlight the recent difficulties her in-laws have faced.

Initially, the GoFundMe campaign was seeking $60,000, but it has since surpassed $184,000. However, Moore’s decision to promote the fundraiser drew criticism from some social media users who argued that she should use her own money instead of asking for public contributions. Moore addressed the criticism in an updated comment on her Instagram post.
“And people who ask if we’re helping our families or crediting an arbitrary amount of money Google says someone isn’t helpful or compassionate. Of course we are,” Moore wrote. “Our friend Matt started funding me and I get involved because people asked how they could help. We lost most of our lives in a fire too. Please F OFF. “No one is forcing you to do anything.”
Moore also touched on her personal losses. On Thursday, she shared photos of the fire-damaged neighborhood On Instagram“We were able to park our car and walk down our street to bear witness to all the loss,” he wrote. “Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing.”
She added: “Right now. It’s not livable but it’s mostly intact. We’ve lost Taylor and Griffin’s studio with all the machinery and equipment they’ve ever owned. We’ve lost the garage and the back house. Everyone we know has lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. People My husband, my brother and my sister-in-law — 6 weeks from welcoming their first child. Our best friends. We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support. Before sharing these updates, Moore posted a video of her family evacuating their home on Wednesday as the Eaton Fire progressed. The wildfire, which has scorched 13,690 acres and is only 3% contained, is one of several devastating blazes in Southern California after a historic Santa Ana wind storm struck the Los Angeles area earlier in the week.
