Mandy Moore’s family was among a long list of people who lost almost everything due to the California wildfires, with the actress revealing that their home was not spared in an emotional post she shared on her Instagram on January 8. Since then, Moore has revealed that she, her husband Taylor Goldsmith and their three children are staying with a friend – and now fans know who.
Taylor’s brother, Griffin Goldsmith, told Instagram how he and his family were persevering through the loss of their homes, sharing that a famous actress opened her own home to Moore and his brother as they tried to get back on their feet. The coming weeks.
“Our dear friends @matthewkoma and @hilaryduff thought it would be wise to set up a charity for us to help with everything moving forward. Not to mention, they currently live in my brother’s house [Taylor] Family,” Griffin wrote in his book Instagram update, shared on January 13. “They have taken care of my entire family from the moment this started. I will never be able to thank them enough. This is the kindest act any human being can do for another person. They are the sweetest, most selfless people I will ever know.”
In Moore’s Instagram post on January 8, she told her followers that her home had been “completely leveled” by the fires and said, “I’m devastated and devastated for those of us who have lost so much. I’m completely numb.”

“Honestly, I’m in shock and numb to everyone who has lost so much, including my family. My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants have been leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything, too,” she continued. “Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together. Sending love to all those affected and on the front lines trying to get this under control.”
