Mandy Moore and her family found safe haven with Hilary Duff after losing their home in the Los Angeles fires.
Tragically, Mandy, her husband Taylor Goldsmith, and their three children Gus, 3, Ozzie, 2, and Louise, 3 months, were displaced after the Eaton Fire, leaving their Altadena home unlivable.
Goldsmith’s brother Griffin and his family also lost their home, as did Taylor and Griffin’s parents.
Griffin took to Instagram To thank Hilary and her husband Matthew Koma for setting up a GoFundMe for him and his wife and accommodating Mandy and Taylor’s family.
The musician wrote: “It is impossible to express how much we feel right now. We have lost everything. 8 years of memories made in our home. 20 years of gear. My wife @quintessentiallykit We were putting the finishing touches on the nursery for our baby boy who is due to be born in a few weeks.
He later added: “All of this is very overwhelming. But what is no less amazing is the amount of love and generosity we receive. Dear friends @Matheokuma and @HilaryDuff I thought it would be wise to set up a gofundme for us to help move forward. Not to mention, they are currently inhabited by my brother’s family. They have taken care of my entire family from the moment this started. I will never be able to thank them enough. This is the kindest thing anyone can do for another. They are the most beautiful, selfless people we have ever known.
while GoFundMe She has raised over $200,000 so far, causing some haters to come forward for Mandy, asking why she isn’t helping her family.
Moore responded on Instagram, but later removed the post.

She told people to “stop it,” adding: “And people are asking if we’re helping our families or crediting some arbitrary amount of money that Google says someone isn’t helpful or compassionate. Of course we are.”
“We just lost most of our lives in a fire, too,” the “This Is Us” star noted.
