Mandy Moore is clapping back at haters over the Los Angeles wildfires
Mandy Moore is shutting down her critics over the Los Angeles wildfires GoFundMe she shared for her family members.
The “This Is Us” star was furious after she received harsh criticism from some on social media when she shared a GoFundMe for family members who lost their home in the fire.
Mandy, 40, replied: “Please, leave.” the people Magazine reports. Later I took the message down.
The GoFundMe aims to help her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kate and Griff, who she wrote “lost their home and everything they owned” in the Eaton fire.
“With their first child arriving in a matter of weeks, they need our support now more than ever,” she wrote. “Griff is a touring musician and has also lost his entire arsenal of drums/percussions that he uses to make a living. All this has many asking how we can help during This unimaginably difficult time…please consider donating and sharing to help them rebuild.
She continued, “And people are asking if we’re helping our family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money that Google says someone isn’t helpful or compassionate.”
Mandy was referring to vague articles about the value of stars, many of which are likely wide of the mark.
“We just lost most of our lives in a fire, too,” she noted.
Mandy’s home with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, and their children – Gus, 3, Ozzie, 2, and Louise, 3 months. – It caught fire, with only the “main part of the house” remaining standing, if uninhabitable.

“We were able to park the car and walk down our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now. It’s unlivable but mostly intact. We lost Taylor and Griffin’s studio with all the musical instruments,” she revealed. Equipment they ever had We lost our garage and our back house.
“Everyone we know has lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My husband. My brother and sister-in-law – 6 weeks after welcoming their first child. Our best friends. A strange sense of survivor’s guilt. We love this community and will do whatever we can to help… REBUILDING AND SUPPORT Thank you everyone for checking in on us and providing us with such strong assistance.
