Mandy Moore faces backlash for sharing law enforcement GoFundMe page: ‘Kindly F Off’

Mandy Moore is ‘kindly’ telling trolls to ‘F off’ after she shared a link to a crowdfunder to help her in-laws in the wake of the Eaton fire where they lost their home.

“With their first child due to arrive in a matter of weeks, they need our support now more than ever,” Moore added. Instagramand called on her followers to donate to their GoFundMe page, which initially set a goal of raising $60,000.

It wasn’t long before Moore faced backlash on social media for sharing the link, with many wondering why she couldn’t donate herself.

Moore edited the post and addressed the trolls, writing: “And people asking if we’re helping our family or crediting some arbitrary amount of money that Google says someone has isn’t helpful or compassionate. Of course we are.”

“Our friend Matt started this fund for me and I’m sharing it because people have asked how they can help,” Moore continued. “We lost most of our lives in a fire too. Please F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything.”

“We were able to park our cars and walk down our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now. It’s not livable but it’s mostly intact,” Moore posted on Instagram.

She continued: “We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support.” Thank you everyone for checking on us and offering us assistance. Altadena is strong.”
