The day after the terrorist attacks on October 7, the Times Square was filled with anti -Israeli voices.
They only grew with a louder voice.
“October 8” narrates the rise of anti -Semitism in the wake of the worst terrorist attack since September 11. Director Wendi Sachs (“the boom”) connects the horrific points, from Hamas, hijacking the points of the hadith of the left to mysterious silence of human rights groups.
What appears is a vital document for our time. One of the modern heads wonders if we live in Germany similar to the thirties, the moment before the anti -Semitism is widely deadly.
We are not there yet. The current normal remains unacceptable, framed by cheese from those who claim to protect marginalized groups.
“October 8” is not relentless, necessary and not less than shock.
The film opens with the survivors of October 7, who share the accounts of the first person about the brutality of Hamas.
The calendar fluctuated until October 8. The anti -Israel demonstrators flood the cities and colleges for joy on the massacre. More than 30 groups at Harvard University blame the brutality in Israel, not the ghoul who raped, tortured and killed the Barreen.
It is an amazing turn to events, one separate from concerns about the revenge of the Israeli. The country was busy calculating the dead and missing at the time.
This ghoulish separation is sufficient to establish a documentary. “October 8” has just started.
Groups such as Amnesty International and Anumin Rights Watch have stopped in the weeks that followed terrorist attacks. Hollywood stars, who are weighing almost every hot case, spoke for a short period, but later, it was reduced to the silence.
Stars like Patricia Hitton, John Underasic, Michael Rabaport and Dibera Missing, the executive producer in the film, were exceptions from the base.
“I felt completely betrayed by Hollywood,” says Messing on the screen. “October 8” colleague Rapaport star is more severe.
“Hollywood celebrities talk about many different things”, from BLM to transient issues. “You must be ashamed of yourself not to say anything about the hostages.”
This film compares this reaction to celebrities who are gathering behind “Brupbackourgirl Against Boko Haram a decade ago.
“October 8” highlights unabated hypocrisy on doping.

University students did nothing but speak after the October 7 attacks. They prevented the Jews from attending the classroom, and revived the barbarism of Hamas and sordid slogans with spraying on the university’s land.
A clip after a clip, a lot of it is invisible on the old media, picks up the amazing moral collapse. What did we do for the next generation?
There is a segment in the New York Times attempt to blame the hospital’s attack on Israel hints in the press “in the anti -Semitic wave. We need a separate documentary to cover extremist media bias against Israel.
Maybe two.

“October 8” is never boring, and the sober film approach is welcome. As well as Sachs decision to maintain policy outside the screen. We see brief interviews with Democrats such as Senator Kirsten Gilbrand and a member of Congress Richie Torres, but the film avoids a party finger.
This is a frustrating thing for the conservatives who witnessed as democrats in the other direction while Hamas’s sympathizers were walking.
Others act much worse. Representative Rashida has happily spread that New York Times Slander without apology, another cursed clip that briefly appears in the movie.
More familiar shots, such as Legue Ivy Dancing heads about Jewish hatred, get close.
SACHS’s ability to link cultural threads over the decades is impressive. Her non -political approach is shrewd and necessary. The messages inside “October 8” should reach the largest possible number of people.
Politics should not be concerned when it comes to abandoning hatred.
Miss beaten or queen: “October 8” provides a bleak look at increasing anti -Semitism in the wake of the Hamas 2023 attack on Israel. It should not be missed.
