Legendary owner JP McManus has pulled the ‘future Gold Cup winner’ from Willie Mullins’ yard – moving him to Jonjo O’Neill in an interesting stable swap.

Indiana Dream was last seen jumping 13 lengths in the Navan Chase more than a year ago.

Punters were so impressed by Indiana Dream’s recent win that one commented: “Gold Cup winner 2026.”

But it hasn’t been that way ever since – until that all changed today.

The Indiana Dream were entered at Windsor on Sunday in their senior Fleur de Lys Chase under a different coach.

McManus, the oldest owner in the sport, won the 2010 and 2012 Grand Nationals with O’Neill-trained horses Don’t Push It and Synchronized respectively.

Now the Irish billionaire has entrusted the Cotswolds-based wizard with another runner with a serious drive.

Indiana Dream is one of 11 entered for the £165,000 Grade 2 prize on 2m6f.

The blockbuster competition, which is also set to feature the likes of Gerry Coulombe and former Cheltenham Festival winners Stage Star and Protectorat, forms part of the huge Winter Million weekend.

“He’s a beautiful horse, a really gentle type that we like,” Mullins previously said of Indiana Dream.

McManus has some horse power with Mullins this season.

The winner of the John Durkan Award and second Gold Cup Fact To File carries the flag in the best survival hunts.

While the duo could also have success at the Cheltenham Festival with the likes of Mares Chase favorite Dinoblue and Arkle senior Hope Majborough.

They will also look to defend the Grand National with a 12-1 I Maximus.
