Learn how Hollywood celebrities are helping those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires
As the Los Angeles wildfires make their way through, affecting many area families, Hollywood celebrities have united to help local residents. In the wake of the Palisades and Altadena fires, Jennifer Garner, along with Paris Hilton and other celebrities, began making donations, or at least were reported to be volunteering.
Jennifer Garner has partnered with award-winning chef JosĂ© AndrĂ©s’ non-profit World Central Kitchen. For those who don’t know, chef pop-ups around Los Angeles County are constantly helping distressed residents with food. Furthermore, this isn’t the first time the 13 Going on 30 star has collaborated with AndrĂ©s, as the two have previously worked on charitable efforts like Save The Children and more.
Meanwhile, a report from Deadline indicates that the Elektra actress helped restaurants and food truck partners distribute food as a volunteer.
Speaking of Paris Hilton, the media personality recently announced an emergency fund through her nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact. The critically acclaimed star, whose Malibu beach house was under fire along with 5,000 other buildings, came to this fund for people who have lost “their homes, their cherished mementos, the communities they loved, and their sense of stability.”
Hilton will partner with Sean Penn’s organized community relief effort, providing cash assistance to families. Sharon Stone also put out a call for donations to COOP+, a home goods store on Beverly Boulevard that is now a distribution center.
