Kelli O’Hara launches women’s sports series “Sports is Fun!”

Exclusive: Two-time Women’s World Cup winner Kelli O’Hara is launching a sports series, as she gears up for a career in media and content creation.

Sports are fun! It will feature the former soccer player and a rotating cast of co-hosts and guests, discussing anything and everything from the world of women’s sports.

The show will launch on February 4 on YouTube, and is scheduled to run “throughout 2024,” according to its creators. The move marks O’Hara’s latest foray into the world of content creators following her retirement from football last year after a 15-year career.

“This show will remind fans why they fell in love with sports,” she said. “That means tapping into all the stories, big and small, that keep the group chat going. You’ll feel like you’re right there in the studio with us, talking about sports the way fans talk about sports.

O’Hara teamed up with Just Women’s Sports (JWS) on the show, which was launched in partnership with TurboTax. JWS has been a long-time partner of O’Hara, working with her to create a portfolio A podcast for women only In 2020 and so on Kelly on the street.

“The next step in the evolution of women’s sports is building a media ecosystem that can keep fans connected around the clock,” said Hailey Rosen, founder and CEO of Just Women’s Sports. “This offering bridges the gap when it comes to innovative, personality-driven coverage, and we are thrilled to partner with TurboTax as they make a splash in women’s sports.”

O’Hara retired from professional soccer in 2024 after a career that included two World Cup wins and an Olympic gold medal with the United States, two NFL championships, and work on a successful campaign that ensured equal pay for the U.S. women’s national team.
