The journey of the road from hell is just began to Alex. In the latest episode of Yellowston The Origin series, the wife of Spencer (played by Julia Shalber), will break her ship after an unstable ocean trip, just to face more terror as she passes through Elos Island.
Here, SchlaPfer is looking back in filming the episode entitled “Wrap You In Terror” and talks about what looks like working against Brandon Sklinar in the Taylor Sheridan series. “It is like a love story that I must tell,” she says on the deadline. “I love a good love story, this is an epic story, and this is certain.”
The deadline you and Brandon Sklinar have a great chemistry. Have you been able to spend a lot of time together before starting filming in Africa for the first season?
Julia Shaliever Yes, in fact, we met during the cowboy camp. This was the first day of the cowboy camp, as they brought all actors to know how to ride horses and help everyone reach the Western spirit. And Brandon had a little more than a month while everyone started filming in Montana before directing us to Africa to start filming. We used to ride the horses every morning and then eat every meal together. We got nails and nails once. So yes, we got some good bonding.

SchlaPfer Yes, I agree. Taylor Sheridan does such amazing research on our world history. This was very fun in 1883 because there is a lot of history in learning. He said that he really wants to write this story because it is what happened. They felt very real.

SchlaPfer I had my own research and I think what was interesting was the extent of documentation of what was documented on Ellis Island. There are not many people talking about the negatives of what people lived. I think many of these stories have been transferred inside families. My grandfather Valentino came on Elis Island in the twenties and had only $ 15 in his pocket. From what I understood from my family, he had spoiled a little. So it is terrible. It did not surprise me that Alex had gone through this type of treatment. Even as a woman in the world in 2025, there is a level of fear that I understand about traveling alone. So I tried to bring a lot to Alex.

SchlaPfer I think this was intentionally. Fashion designer, Jani Bryant, a genius. She said that she wanted me in light colors and everyone else in darker and more complete colors just because we are following Alex’s journey. Alex such a bright light is very optimistic. It has a lot of love and spirit within it that the world is trying to strip it.
The deadline you are born in Washington State. Is this the first thing you have with an English tone?
SchlaPfer I studied acting in college and we had dialect lessons, so I had a basic level of understanding. Then she got the wonderful tone coach, Jessica Drake, who worked with me both seasons. This is my first time in any display or movie with a accent, so I was a little tense because I didn’t want to fill it. My British manager and told him, “If you hear anything wrong, you have to tell me because I will not spoil this.”

SchlaPfer It was a lot of fun. It was like a sigh of relief after all the terrible things you went through. I photographed the scene of the attack on the same day that she met with the immigration officer. It was a long day, and I have to allow him to get it. He tries to reduce her while she is, “I can read, what are you talking about?” They also wanted to strip these people as much as possible and tested the extent of their introduction to the country. SchlaPfer It was a huge platform. They built this giant square on the sound stage and transferred it back and forth violently. Frankly, it was a kind of fun. There were all these amazing artists who did not believe themselves through the room. I was supposed to cry and cry, but when they called Cut, I had the biggest smile on my face because it was very enjoyable. I felt like a rotating ship.

SchlaPfer I will say that it is only in New York City and it has to make it all over the country, so the trip will not be easy. It has not ended with difficulties yet. She has a lot to reach her, but she is difficult. She is fighting her way. I think it proves itself how strong it is and the amount of fighting it can bring to the table.

SchlaPfer I think Alex wants it. This trip is preparing for it, and I think it was already built for it. I think her entire life wanted adventure. She wanted more. She knows what Spencer’s family is going through on the farm from reading these messages. She wants it, and you want to be with Spencer. So I think it will be well equipped for this lifestyle.
The deadline of my fear is that we will not see Alex with Spencer until the last episode of the second season.
SchlaPfer I can’t say. But I saw parts of the end. The entire trip is very beautiful. I think people will be really happy with the way everything happens.
