Jessica Alba ‘retains divorce lawyer’ amid Cash Warren split but couple ‘will remain close’

Jessica Alba has reportedly hired a divorce lawyer amid her split from Cash Warren, but they are still “friends and all about the kids.”
The 43-year-old actress is said to be moving forward with the couple’s split, after it was reported last week that the showbiz power couple had split after 16 years of marriage, but are expected to “remain close”.
“No matter what happens now, it looks like they’re going to stay close,” a source told PEOPLE.
“If they’re filing for divorce, it’s not because of some nasty drama. They still look happy together.”
“Jess has mentioned over the years that it’s hard to keep the spark going.”
Last week, a TMZ insider claimed that Jessica and Cash — who have daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13, and seven-year-old son Hayes — are “close to finalizing the matter by filing for divorce” and that they are “moving forward.” With those plans.
It was also believed that the couple had only “recently separated”, but it is unclear what brought them to this point.
Jessica and Cash have been spotted without their wedding ring in recent weeks, including when the “Dark Angel” star attended a pre-Golden Globes party at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood without Cash earlier this month.
The pair were last seen together in public in November when they attended a basketball game together.
They first met while filming Fantastic Four in 2004, when Jessica played Sue Storm in the Marvel film, and Cash was serving as an assistant director on the project.
In 2021, Jessica admitted that becoming parents had changed their marriage, joking that they had become “roommates.”
“Everything is rosy for two and a half years,” she said in her “Before, During, and After” Instagram series. “But then they become roommates.
“You’re just going through the motions. You have responsibilities, it’s a lot of, like checking boxes, right?”
