Jared Fiers praises Eagles fans after comments. Jalen Carter discusses the pregame exchange after the win

PHILADELPHIA – Jared Fiers angered Philadelphia Eagles fans with his comments toward them before Sunday’s divisional round game against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams forward embraced what he said and had some fun with the fans at Lincoln Financial Field before and during Sunday’s loss to the Eagles.

Verse rose to the occasion despite the loss, as he had two sacks, two quarterback hits and three tackles for loss. He had five pressures and finished with a pressure rate of 21.7%.

On his first sack of Jalen Hurts on Sunday, Aya received boos from Philly fans. After the match, he earned his respect.

“I like that they’re standing up to it. They’re not ashamed of it,” Fierce said. Via Philadelphia Inquirer. “My phone has been blowing up for the last two or three days. All I kept seeing was: ‘Yes, we accept this.’ We love it.’ I was like, ‘Okay.’ But I would love for them to stand on it.”

The Verse even had some words with Eagles star defensive tackle Jalen Carter before the game. Carter wanted to make sure Fierce knew what he was getting into.

“I was like, ‘You know that’s the motivation for us?'” Carter said with a smile. “It wasn’t really nothing. It was just small talk.”

Carter had a big game for the Eagles as well, responsible for Matthew Stafford’s third sack with 1:14 remaining from the Eagles’ 13-yard line in a 28-22 game. He finished with two sacks and a forced fumble, along with seven pressures and three quarterback hits.

Eagles defensive tackle Moro Ojomo said Carter was too nice, but the respect for Verse is there. There is no love lost between the two.

“It’s still great,” Carter said. “I like his game. He’s a ball player.”
