Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) cleared Chennai Super Kings (CSK) of five share in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Friday, while maintaining their high hopes in the qualifiers. Harshal Patel got four columns where SRH assembled CSK for 154, before ISHAN Kishan, Kamindu Mendis and Nitish Kumar Reddy play a useful veil to see their side with eight balls to spare them. With his defeat, CSK has bent almost from the qualifying race even with SRH survival in theory. CSK remained below the points schedule while SRH jumped a place to upgrade to eighth. This was the first SRH victory in ChePauk against CSK.

After being sent to the bats, CSK witnessed a horrific start because they lost Shaik Rashid in the first ball off Mohamed Shami, which was caught by Abishk Sharma at the beginning.
