As several wildfires burn in Southern California, Hollywood stars are posting about the fires’ impact, showcasing the damage and sharing their thanks and admiration for first responders.

More than 100,000 people were forced to evacuate their homes, as the situation worsened due to Santa Ana winds. At least five people died and many were injured.
At its worst, the flames tore through Pacific Palisades, one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country, leaving firefighters overwhelmed as they battled the blaze from the ground and air. See map of affected areas here.
Billy Crystal
Actor Billy Crystal and his wife, Janice, lost their home in Pacific Palisades to fires, according to a statement shared with ABC News.
“Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing,” Crystal said in the statement. “We are hurting for our friends and neighbors who also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy. Janice and I have lived in our home since 1979. We have raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our home was filled with love. Paris Hilton
A representative for Paris Hilton told ABC News that her home was among the homes destroyed amid the wildfires.
Hilton wrote on her Twitter account: “My heart is sad beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our house in Malibu burning to the ground live on TV is something no one should ever experience.” Instagram Wednesday.
“This house is where we have built so many precious memories. It is where Phoenix took its first steps and where we dreamed of building lifelong memories with London.”
She added that although her loss was devastating, she was grateful that her family was safe. She also offered her prayers for others affected by the wildfires and shared that she has been in contact with non-profit organizations about how to help the community.
“To the brave firefighters and paramedics who are risking their lives to protect us, you are true heroes,” Hilton added. “I am so grateful for your courage, dedication and the incredible sacrifices you make to save lives and fight this unimaginable battle.”
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt
