Hollywood star Brooke Shields has made a shocking confession about her marriage to “dominant” tennis icon Andre Agassi
Actress Brooke Shields has accused her ex-husband Andre Agassi of turning into a control freak.
The 59-year-old Hollywood star also recalls her shocking “public row” with Tom Cruise in her new memoir, which will be released next week.

Brooke claims she married tennis player Agassi in 1997, partly to break the spell of her mother Terry, an alcoholic, who allowed her daughter to strip naked on screen when she was 11 years old.
“My mother was a very controlling force in my life,” she writes. When I married my first husband, Andre Agassi, I entered into another strict and controlling relationship, and for a while I did whatever he told me.
Their breakup after just two years was blamed on Agassi’s addiction to crystal meth.
In Brooke Shields’ Not Allowed to Grow Old, she also revealed that movie star Tom Cruise apologized for attacking her for using antidepressants.

Brooke suffered from postpartum depression after giving birth to her daughter, Rowan, with her second husband, Chris Henchy.
Her Scientologist boyfriend Cruise, 62, called her “irresponsible” and suggested vitamins and exercise instead.
Brooke then responded, saying: “Interesting opinion, coming from a woman without ovaries.”
“His attack left me stunned,” she wrote in the book. “I have never been one to find myself in a public dispute.
She revealed that Cruz eventually apologized, adding: “Not publicly, which is the right thing to do, but he came to my house and said he was sorry.”
“It wasn’t the best apology in the world, but he was able to do it, and I accepted it.”
