Hollywood actress Dalis Curry dies in Los Angeles wildfires

Forbes said Monday that Dalis Curry is a retired Hollywood actress who has starred in films such as “Blues Brothers“The Ten Commandments” and “Lady Sings the Blues” have died in the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles. She died at 95.

Authorities verified the discovery of Carrie’s remains in her burned home in Altadena, California.

Carey was last seen on the evening of Jan. 7, when her granddaughter, Dalis Kelly, said Kelly drove her home.

The next morning, Kelly tried to visit her but was unable to get past police barricades in the vicinity.

Curry was not found at the Pasadena Civic Center, which was being used as a shelter for displaced communities.

Officials investigated a few days after her remains were found at the site of her destroyed home.

“Her remains were discovered on the property, the coroner announced about an hour ago,” Kelly posted the message, “#RIPMOMMADEE,” on Facebook on Sunday, January 12.

“Our career was amazing. It had a profound impact on my life. This is a terrible loss.”

“She was very active,” according to her granddaughter, Lori Beamer Wilkinson. “It’s hard to believe she’s 95 years old.”

Curry is one of at least 24 people who died as a result of the fires in the Los Angeles area.
