German counsel

On Saturday, Chancellor Ollaf Schools, from Germany, accused Vice President GD Vans of unacceptable intervention in his country’s imminent elections on behalf of a party that has reduced the atrocities committed by the Nazis 80 years ago.

A day after Mr. Vance amazed the security conference in Munich by informing German leaders of dropping the so -called protection wall and allowing the hard right alternative in Germany, or AFD, to enter their federal government, Mr. Schulz accused Mr. Vans of the effectiveness of violating the commitment not to allow Germany again to his leader By fascists who can repeat the horrors of the Holocaust.

“Never reconcile” again “with the support of AFD.”

Mr. Schults said that AFD has smuggled Nazi atrocities such as Dachau’s detention camp, which Mr. Vans visited on Friday. The counselor said that Germany “will not accept” suggestions from strangers on how to manage its democracy – or directives to work with such a party.

“This is not done, and certainly not between friends and allies,” said Mr. Schouls. “Our democracy goes from here is to decide.”

In the speech of Mr. Vances, those present expected to hear the details of the Trump administration’s plans for peace talks in Ukraine and NATO’s defense policies. On Saturday, President Voludimir Zelinski put himself from Ukraine himself the focus on the Ukraine war in his statements, in a staggered threat from the army that infiltrated the fighting in Russia and an enthusiastic call to the Europeans to take their security with their hands, including their formation of the “Europe Army” that would complete us with power in The continent.

His speech sparked a standing applause, unlike Mr. Vans’s speech the day before.

Mr. Schulz’s comments confirmed the increasing relief among European leaders about their relationship with the United States and their local policy. They came when the leaders were rushed to formulate a response to the sudden shift of President Trump in Ukraine’s policy – and the possibility of being able to cut the continent from negotiations.

Just a few days before Mr. Vans, Mr. Trump threatened to impose a new tariff on almost every country with which the United States trades. Then he talked about negotiating the end of Russia’s war in Ukraine directly with President Vladimir F. Putin is from Russia, leaving the Europeans, including Ukraine, and wondering whether they will be included. Poland Foreign Minister said at the conference that President Emmanuel Macron of France had invited an emergency meeting for European leaders to discuss Ukraine on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the right -wing extremist parties throughout Europe gained use of uncomfortable migration, which also helped to push Mr. Trump to power in the United States. Mr. Vances comments indicate that a new type of American coalition with Europe was formed, which exceeds the official leadership in favor of movements such as AFD in Germany and the National Rally in France.

The reactions to Saturday sessions at the security conference are often negative to the speech of Mr. Vans – and the schedule of Mr. Trump’s business.

Mr. Schulz joined his criticism by Friedrich Mirz, his rival as a candidate for the consultant for conservative Christian Democrats, whose opinion polls indicate is preferred to be the next leader in Germany.

Mr. Vans spent a lot of his speech on Friday in reprimanding the Europeans for what he suggested that it was the Soviet style restrictions on freedom of expression across the continent. On Saturday, Mr. Mirz defended Germany’s laws that prohibit certain forms of speech, including hate speech and Nazi slogans, including on social media.

He also suggested that the administration of Mr. Trump was suppressing the speech in the United States, after it moved on Friday to expel the Associated Press from the reporting gatherings and outside the Trump plane because the news agency refuses to agree to direct Mr. Trump to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

“We are committed to the rules provided by our democratic institutions,” said Mr. Mirz. “Freedom of expression is still freedom of expression and is still part of our open democratic society. Fake news, hatred and crimes remain subject to legal restrictions and controlled by independent courts.”

He added: “I think I should say, this is in front of the events that took place in the capital yesterday – we will never expel the news agency, outside the press room in our advisor.”

Mr. Mirz also criticized Mr. Trump’s introductory policy, saying that Germany wanted to reduce the customs tariff, and not increase it, and that “we do not believe in commercial conflicts.”

The White House had no immediate comment on Mr. Schulz’s notes and Mr. Mirz.

The latest comments were in a series of criticism of Mr. Vans’s speech from German politicians before the elections next Sunday. Social Democrats of Mr. Schulz ranked third or fourth in most opinion polls. AFD ranked second, and her candidate, Alice Wadel, met on Friday in Munich.

Parts of AFD were classified as extremist by German intelligence. Some of its members were convicted of violating German law against the use of Nazi slogans. Others were arrested for their attempt to overthrow the federal government. So although AFD candidates managed to win parliamentary seats, any other party was ready to form an alliance with them to control the government.

This group aviation of AFD and other extremist parties is known as the Wall of the Protection. Mr. Vans took the goal on Friday, saying that AFD and the other right parties across Europe have represented the legitimate voters’ legitimate concerns about high levels of migration to European countries from the Middle East and other places.

“There is no room for protection walls,” said Mr. Vance.

The Vice President also called on freedom of expression a greater threat to Europe than the military aggression from Russia or China.

Mr. Schults dismantled Mr. Vanced for this focus in a question and answers session after his speech. He was asked by Zani Menton Bedz, the Economist’s Economist, if Mr. Vans had made any points in his speech worth thinking about it.

“You mean all these relevant discussions about Ukraine and security in Europe?” Mr. Schools said, he draws laughter from the audience.

Then he addressed the criticism of Mr. Vans for European speech restrictions directly.

“We must be very clear that freedom of expression in Europe means that you do not attack others in ways against the legislation and laws that we have in our country,” said Mr. Schouls. “This is the case. There is no difference between the digital world and the analog world to say like this. We must be very clear that hate and all this, which is very bad for our societies, should not be the truth of the general debate.”

In his statements, Mr. Zellinski focused on the issue of European defense. He reiterated his position that the United States would be pivotal in securing any ceasefire in Ukraine, but will need Europe to advance as well. He referred to what he said were Russian intelligence warnings to conduct military exercises in Belarus next summer. He pointed out that Russia has invaded Ukraine after the deployment of forces in Belarus under the guise of exercises.

“Europe only needs gathering and starting to act in a way that no one can say” no “for Europe, its school, or treatment like fatigue,” said Mr. Zelinski.

Mr. Trump said he wanted to reach the minerals in Ukraine with a value of half a trillion dollars in exchange for the continued military support; Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessin, opened talks on this case in Kiev earlier this week. “We are still talking,” said Mr. Zelinski on Saturday.

In a conversation with CNN Christian Amanor after his speech, Mr. Zelinski also said that Ukraine needed to be on the table in any ceasefire talks, and asked to meet Mr. Trump before any meeting he had with Mr. Trump with President Vladimir F. Putin from Russia.

“It is up to them, they can discuss anything they want, but not Ukraine without Ukraine,” he said.
