  • 15,000 rare coins were discovered from more than 100 regions after hiding them from the Nazis.
  • The group includes a huge gold currency of 348.5 grams of $ 1.35 million.
  • The first auction of the historical group scheduled for May 2025.

Sometimes the treasures are hidden in sight of the horizon – such as the man who accidentally threw $ 750 million in bitcoin in the trash or the lucky person who bought the garage’s selling panel of $ 50, just to discover it at a value of $ 15 million. Now, there is another discovery such as the headlines of the newspapers: “The group of passengers”, a group of rare metal coins underground for more than 50 years and finally witnesses today’s light through a public auction.

The value of this numerical gold mine is more than $ 100 million (about 160 million Australian dollars) and is the most valuable group that is ever offered at the auction. The first sale is the schedule of May 20, 2025 and will be made by Numismatica Ars Classica (NAC), on the occasion of a historical moment in the world of high -risk coins.

A group born of crisis and adventure

The story behind the traveler group looks directly from the movie. Everything began in the aftermath 1929 Wall Street crashesWhen a European mosque and his wife went in an ambitious endeavor to obtain the rarest and most important coins throughout the Americas and Europe. A piece by one, they built an unusual portfolio and documented every carefully acquisition along the road that provided an invaluable record for each piece.

Then he came World War II. As the Nazis advanced throughout Europe, a mosque faced a painful decision. Instead of risking the loss of his life, he chose to bury the entire group underground and seal the coins in cigar boxes and aluminum containers before they disappear to history.
For more than five decades, the group remained not touching, but the inheritors of the original mosque have regained the long -term treasure and brought one of the greatest cash stories ever. Arturo Rousseau, NAC Director, reported on metal currencies:

“This is the most valuable group ever that reaches a full auction. The vast range and the wonderful quality of broken currencies, the huge number of great scarcity, and the wonderful story to form the group will make these sales a landmark in the history of feed.”

Unprecedented

The group includes many important metal currencies including the Ducat 100 golden currency from the Habsburg (1629), which weighs 348.5 grams of good gold, which represents one of the largest European gold coins ever, and is expected to be sold for about $ 1.35 million. Another prominent piece of the group is the Ducat 70 currency of the Polish king Sigismund III (1621), which governs the scales at 243 grams and is worth $ 471,700.

Many of these coins were not available for purchase for more than 80 years, and some have never been documented in Numismatic records. For this reason, the first auction in May will be an enormous and will focus on British coins integrated from Charles II to George VI, with a full show at the NAC office in London throughout April.

The three-year auction series is scheduled for a surreal moment for both historians and two groups because these coins are more than just a group of gold and silver-it representing a story and connection that is not fractured to the past.
