Pakistan’s Ali, his name, registered his name in the history books as he became the first bowler from the nation to include a hat-trick for the national team in the history of men’s Test. Nauman did just that on the first day of the second Test against the West Indies in Multan, taking the wickets of Justin Greaves, Tevin Immelich and Kevin Sinclair on three successive deliveries. Nauman put West Indies on their feet as the tourists lost 7 wickets for just 38 after electing to bat first. It was only the 12th inning in which Nauman went into script history.

Pakistan opted for a bowling-heavy attack in the Multan Test, giving a debut to right-handed pacer Kashif Ali who came in in place of Khurram Shahzad.

Kashif donned the eggs for Pakistan after displaying impressive form in the domestic circuit. The 24-year-old has earned a call-up with consistent performances in first-class cricket, including a superlative five-wicket haul for Pakistan Shaheens against Sri Lanka last November. His inclusion marks a major milestone in his career as he becomes the sole pacer in Pakistan’s top-heavy bowling attack for the match. Kashif expressed his excitement ahead of his debut.

Sajid Khan, Noman Ali, and Abrar Ahmed, all of whom played pivotal roles in dismantling the West Indies line-up in the first Test, once again led the charge with precision and precision.

Of the first 8 wickets that fell on the first day, Kashif took 1, Noman claimed 4, Sajid Khan caught 2 and Abrar Ahmed took 1 wicket for Pakistan.
