FIFA, the World Football Ruling Authority, raised the commentary on the Pakistani Football Association (PFF) after making the necessary constitutional changes to ensure the smooth government of sports in the country. FIFA imposed PFF on February 5 due to the failure of members of Congress to amend the constitution as required by the World Authority. However, last Thursday, members of the PFF conference reached a consensus on the implementation of the necessary adjustments. The PFF official confirmed that FIFA informed them on Sunday that the comment had been raised.
Since June 2019, Pakistani football has governed the FIFA normalization committee, which has been assigned to hold elections and resolve disputes between parallel factions.
Despite the multiple changes in the leadership of the committee over the past five years, the basic issues facing Pakistani football have remained without a solution.
A senior official of the Asian Football Association (AFC) visited Lahore last week to persuade members of Congress to adopt the required constitutional amendments. The changes were approved at a meeting in Lahore, wiping the way for FIFA to raise the comment.
As the comment was raised, Pakistan will now be able to participate in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, and the national team is scheduled to face Syria in the opening match of their group on March 25.
