Emergency room strikes hit the main land of the BC program

The emergency room at Delta Hospital is now open after a partial closure for two nights during the weekend.
Smaller rural societies throughout British Columbia deal with the closure of emergency rooms for several months, if not years, but they are not common on the mainland.
Fraser Health sent a notice for the first time on Saturday evening, saying: “Because of the challenges of the doctor’s doctor at Delta Hospital, Fraser Health is implementing a temporary interruption of the service that starts at 9:30 pm on Saturday 22 February to Sunday, February 23, at 7:00 pm.”
The second service interruption notice was sent on Sunday evening and continued until 6:30 am on Monday.
The nurses have remained in the site’s emergency situations to provide basic first aid and help direct patients to other hospitals.

Employment challenges previously led to a closure at the Meshn Hospital earlier this month.

The union, which represents the paramedics in British Columbia, told Global News that they do not get any prior notice of health services in emergency BC, adding that if they know, they may be able to add more employees on the weekend to help.
Ian Tate with a paramedic of the ambulance in British Columbia said they left “to connect holes in the dam.
“We are doing our best,” he said. “Our members, when they are given the opportunity or notification, do not ascend, day after day, through a boycott.”
Delta Con. Dylan Krager said the situation is frustrating.
He said: “Keeping hospitals open, and keeping the emergency rooms open is an essential role for the government, and if we cannot do that, we have much greater regular problems.”
The internal health has also closed the emergency rooms in Merritt and Clearwateer due to the lack of nursing staff and patients from both gathered to the Royal Inand Hospital in Kamlooops.
