Denise Richards’ daughters are ‘angry’ over her joining the ‘Special Forces’ (Exclusive)

Denise Richards reveals what she did to get on her daughters’ bad side!

The 53-year-old actress recently spoke with PEOPLE about her involvement in the upcoming season of the TV series Special Forces: The toughest test in the world, She shared how her three children reacted to the news.

Explaining that the show simulates the challenges of military-style survival, Richards says his daughters Sammi, 20, Lola, 19, and Eloise, 13, tried to talk her out of joining.

“My daughters were very upset,” she admits. “They didn’t want me to do it. They were afraid I would get hurt or killed, and they were really angry. It was the first of all times I did different projects or travelled, and they were really upset with me.

However, Richards says she wanted to take a risk and push her limits, even though she felt nervous.

“I’m not athletic at all, I was just so intimidated by everyone,” Richards explains. “I didn’t know who was going to be there, but I heard there were some athletes, I couldn’t compete with that. But that’s the greatest thing too, is that it’s not about competing against anyone but me, and that’s why they strip us of the rawness, physically, mentally, emotionally and all of that.” .

“I thought, ‘This is the most challenging thing I’ll ever do, and why wouldn’t I do it?'” she adds. “I was terrified, but once I committed to it, I was there.”

Richards shares her two older daughters, Sammy and Lola, with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen. She later adopted Eloise in 2011, and her current husband, Aaron Phypers, began the process of legally adopting Eloise after their surprise wedding in Malibu in 2018.
