Convert your roaming points into $ROAM tokens before TGE

Vancouver, Canada, January 25, 2025, Chainwire

wanderinga leader in decentralized wireless networking, has launched “Burning” demo pools, which are designed to help users experience and become familiar with the “burning” process prior to TGE. To celebrate the Lunar New Year, users can join the demo event starting January 24, 10:00 AM (UTC) until the TGE event, providing an exclusive opportunity to obtain $ROAM tokens.

Maximize $ROAM rewards through “burning” demo pools.

The “Burn” beta pool is an experimental feature within the Roam app that enables users to convert their Roam Points into $ROAM tokens. Once the transfer is complete, the corresponding roaming points are removed from circulation, and users receive $ROAM tokens. The conversion rate for each cycle is dynamic, and is determined by the total number of points submitted and tokens allocated for that period, which means the rate may vary over time.

The Roam Pilot “Burning” pool operates in cycles, each lasting 1,000 seconds. Users can choose a minimum of 10 courses, with the option to select up to 1,000 courses. Once a cycle is selected, roaming points are locked for that period and cannot be unlocked before then. Users can join the next available course only after the current course has ended.

Roam has created three distinct “flaming” collections, each designed to meet the needs of different types of users:

  1. Public “burned” pool: Open to all Roam users, this pool allows participants to convert Roam points into $ROAM tokens. Roaming points can be accumulated by completing various tasks within the roaming app.
  2. “Burned” mine basin.: This pool is intended for Roam mining owners, including users of Rainier MAX60, Baker MAX30 or MetaBlox OG hardware. It enables participants to transfer roaming points earned through mining activities, miner registration, or check-ins conducted at their registered mining sites. Miner Pool offers conversion rates specific to mining participants.
  3. Burnt pond poster.: Specifically designed for users who collect Roam stickers through app activities, such as Wi-Fi node validation and check-ins. Stickers are assigned different rarities, with higher rarity stickers corresponding to greater Roam Point values.

How are tokens calculated?

Calculating $ROAM tokens follows a simple formula:

(Total tokens issued in this cycle) ÷ (Total Roaming Points transferred in this cycle) x (Your Roaming Points transferred)

For example:

  • Course 1: User A transfers 1,000 roaming points, while User B transfers 2,000 roaming points, bringing the total to 3,000 points. With 30 ROAM tokens allocated to a tournament, User A and User B receive token allocations proportional to their contributions — 10 tokens and 20 tokens, respectively.
  • Course 2: User C enters the pool, and transfers 3,000 roaming points, bringing the total points transferred to 6,000. With the same allocation of 30 ROAM tokens, the distribution is adjusted accordingly: User A receives 5 tokens, User B receives 10 tokens, and User C receives 15 tokens.

This shows how rewards are distributed proportionally based on user engagement, highlighting the dynamic nature of the allocation process. Participants may benefit from understanding the timing and scale of contributions to effectively align with their goals.

Improved participation in the $ROAM token transfer process

Participants can approach the $ROAM token conversion process strategically by considering several factors:

  • Timing and engagement dynamics: Conversion rates are affected by the timing of contributions and the number of participants in each session. Monitoring these factors can help participants make informed decisions about when to participate in the process.
  • Course selection: Different cycles provide different levels of predictability. Shorter cycles may involve more frequent adjustments, while longer cycles can provide a more stable shifting environment. Choosing a course that matches individual preferences and goals may improve the overall experience.
  • Earn extra points: Roam Points can be earned through app-based activities, deploying miners, and improving existing miners. Maintaining ongoing involvement in these activities increases opportunities for participation.

Participation in experimental “burning” swimming pools.

Participation in “burning” experimental complexes involves several steps:

  1. Access to the Roam app is required to create an account.
  2. Roam points and stickers can be collected through various in-app activities or through the use of the Roam Miner.
  3. The in-app event page provides details about the options available to participate.
  4. Users can explore different “burn” combinations (general, miner, or sticker) and review available cycle durations.
  5. Once a cycle is selected, the associated roaming points are locked for a specified period.
  6. After the Token Generation Event (TGE), participants can review their token distribution.

Basic details about “burning” test pools.

  • Minimum roaming points requirements: A minimum of 500 Roam Points is required to engage with any of the three available groups.
  • Roaming points insurance period: Roaming points must remain locked for 48 hours (based on 00:00 UTC) before they are eligible for conversion.
  • Irreversible process: Once the cycle starts, the process is completed and cannot be changed.
  • Token distribution: The $ROAM tokens associated with the transfer will become accessible after the Token Generation Event (TGE).
  • Token allocation volatility: The final $ROAM allocation may differ from the initial estimates, as the token distribution depends on the total number of participants and conversion rate during a given tournament.

Roam unveils experimental ‘burning’ pools ahead of TGE

Roam Pilot “Burning” groups offer a framework for converting Roam Points into $ROAM tokens, offering participants the opportunity to interact with one of three groups – public, miner or sticker. These pools provide a mechanism to contribute to the Roam network while participating in its ecosystem. The unique timing and dynamics of each gathering play a role in shaping the overall experience.

The beta phase is scheduled to run from January 24, 10:00 AM (UTC), until the Token Generation Event (TGE), coinciding with the Lunar New Year celebrations. This period represents an important development for the platform, allowing participants to observe and interact with the burning process as part of the lead-up to TGE.
