Jessica Alba’s husband, Cash Warren, spoke about the “hard work” that went into their marriage just months before news of their split.
“I think, at the end of the day, friendship, support and knowing that your partner has your back means everything to us.” He told Us Weekly In July 2024.
The film producer – who married Alba in 2008 – revealed that the “secret” of their union was “supporting each other.”
“It’s hard work, but we roll up our sleeves and do it,” Warren, 45, said of navigating the ups and downs with the “Fantastic Four” actress.
“It’s wild. It’s the longest relationship I could have ever imagined,” he added.
The couple – who have three children – have been together for 20 years.
In a previous interview with the outlet, Warren revealed how he and Alba, 43, have been spending quality time together without their kids.
“For us, it’s about getting out of the house and going and staying somewhere else for a night,” he said.
“Unplugging is a big thing. We love walking. We love chatting. We love eating good food together. We have a lot of the same interests as us. What’s great is that we’re also still willing to share.”
Meanwhile, Alba privately admitted in July 2021 that her marriage to Warren appeared to be “going through the motions” during an appearance on Katherine Schwarzenegger’s Instagram show, “before, during and after the baby.”
“Everything is rosy for two and a half years. But then, you become roommates,” the Honest Company founder said at the time.
“You have responsibilities. It’s a lot, like checking boxes, right?,” she added.
On Wednesday, sources told TMZ that the couple recently separated and are headed toward divorce. Neither Alba nor Warren have addressed the news publicly.
Although the “Trigger Warning” star has been silent on the issue, she was recently photographed without her wedding ring in front of the paparazzi.
Although the outlet did not give a reason for the split, a source later told People magazine that Alba thought it was “hard to keep the spark going” with Warren.
