Temperatures are expected to remain harsh in some parts until mid-week, and residents are advised to prepare for wind chill values that range between 40 to 45 degrees Celsius below zero in some parts.
Some areas like Barrie, Orilla and Picton in Ontario are also watching for snow storms late Monday afternoon into Wednesday morning.
While most areas in the province are under a series of extreme cold warnings, Toronto is not currently under any current weather alerts. However, the wind chill is making temperatures feel like 22-23 degrees below zero across much of the Greater Toronto Area.
